The hotel is situated in a lovely location and is close to the Castle and other amenities on the island. the rooms are beautifully decorated with a rural Swedish decor and are comfortable with excellent bathrooms. the breakfast buffet is extensive and the staff are attentive and helpful. the hotel has a cozy restaurant with great seafood and a wonderful wine list.

The facilities and staff service may not be on par with larger hotels, and some guests reported issues with staff friendliness.

The island location was idyllic and gave us a real sense of escape. We loved the short ferry ride over. the hotel entrance was grand and felt like we were stepping back in time. the breakfast buffet featured a variety of fresh bread and pastries, as well as local fruit and hot options. the staff was accommodating and easy to communicate with in English.

There was no elevator, which made multiple trips with luggage more difficult. the lack of air conditioning made for a stuffy night's sleep, despite the cool island breeze.
